I am a trial lawyer with an employment practice focused on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (“Title VII”), Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code (“Chapter 21”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), qui tam and whistleblower laws, breach of contract, non-compete, restrictive covenant, and human resources matters. I have over 10 years of specialized practice in these areas.
I am Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a former chair of the Houston Bar Association - Labor and Employment Section. I teach at Texas State Bar and Houston Bar Association legal education (“CLE”) seminars about a variety of employment related topics, such as Supreme Court employment cases, sexual harassment, proof and damages in employment matters, and retaliation. I run HR training courses for small businesses. In addition, I have tutored law students in the law of contracts and taught local high school students about the importance of jury duty.
