Nichelle L. Jenkins is an attorney at the Texas employment law firm of Shellist Lazarz, LLP. She focuses her law practice on employment law civil litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings. Ms. Jenkins represents clients in matters involving a number of federal and state statutes, including the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She represents individuals in negotiating employment contracts with potential and current employers, and before administrative agencies such the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Texas Workforce Commission.

Ms. Jenkins also serves as a consultant to local and regional companies, advising them on matters such as severance and non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements and sexual harassment issues. Prior to commencing employment at Shellist Lazarz, Ms. Jenkins maintained her own private law practice. She previously associated with the New York law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP, and she was an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Cook County, Illinois.

A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law (J.D.), and the John Marshall Law School (LL.M), Ms. Jenkins is admitted to practice before the state courts of Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. She is also admitted to practice before the Southern District of Texas, the District of New Jersey, the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2007 and 2008, Ms. Jenkins received the honor of being named a "Texas Rising Star" by the magazines Law & Politics and Texas Monthly.
