LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A former employee of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center makes serious allegations of wrongdoing by top management.  Clare Miers filed suit Monday saying she was forced to resign as Communications Director from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.  She claims sexual discrimination but moreover she claims that her co-workers falsely believed she was having an affair with then President John Baldwin.  The lawsuit says in part:
"Of course, this suspicion was unfounded; however, it was supported by Baldwin's insistence to interview Plaintiff at restaurant bars and hotel lobbies, and his submission of business expense receipts for meals and drinks at expensive and/or romantic venues, which he falsely claimed he had attended with Plaintiff. Upon information and belief, Baldwin has been the subject of a University investigation for allegedly submitting false business expenses."
NewsChannel 11 left messages for numerous officials, and a spokesperson promised to get back us after visiting with the University's legal team.
